MAJURO, Republic of the Marshall Islands – The OAG is proud to announce the promotion of Ms. Laulani Loeak to Chief of Investigations. This appointment reflects the OAG’s commitment to strengthening public integrity, accountability and anti-corruption oversight across RMI governmental institutions.
Ms. Loeak succeeds Mr. Jaston after serving as Deputy Chief Investigator for more than six years. During her tenure, she played an important role in complex fraud investigations and strengthening the Office’s investigation capabilities.
Ms. Loeak holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Social Justice, from Saint Martin’s University. Her extensive investigative experience, academic background, and deep institutional knowledge make her well prepared for this important leadership role.
The OAG has full confidence in Ms. Loeak’s ability to lead the Fraud Investigations Division and its team of investigators. We look forward to her continued leadership in our effort to prevent and detect and investigate fraud and the misuse of public resources, and in safeguarding public trust.
